What a GREAT Day!!!

We had such a great day!!! We went to West Memphis, AR this morning for Caylee's 1st dance competition. This was the first one for her entire group. They did WONDERFUL!! They placed 1st gold in their division and #9 overall in their category. Cathy's other dancers did EXTREMELY well throughout the entire competition. It was great seeing this girls from all over do something that they enjoy so much. However, I was a little overwhelmed at how serious this is to some parents (none in our group). There were several HUGE rolling make-up / accessory cases in back. I was SHOCKED!!!! It was definitely a learning experience for me. It was FUN though. I now know what to expect.

Then as we were leaving it started SNOWING!!!!! We stopped by Casa Mexicana for a late lunch. It was YUMMY!! When we got home, Jamie took the kids outside to let them play in the snow. They did not stay out too long b/c it was getting dark. Now we are going to enjoy some hot chocolate and a movie. Here are some pics of the snow. Ignore Caylee's eye make-up. It was from competition.

Nerves

Well, most of you know that I am having surgery next Friday, the 20th. I am having my thyroid removed. I have NEVER been put to sleep. The only times I have been in the hospital were to have my babies. So, needless to say I AM NERVOUS!!!! Mom had the same surgery by the same surgeon this past summer and all went REALLY well. This does boost my confidence, but I can not shake the nerves. I really did not realize how nervous I was until today. I TOTALLY forgot that Valentine's Day is tomorrow. I never forget holidays. I forgot to get Caylee's teacher a gift (SO unlike me). At school, I realized that I will only be teaching 3 days next week. Reality has set in that I am 1 week away from surgery. By this time next Friday, I should be in my hospital room recovering. Please say a little prayer for me that all goes well.

Close Knit Family

I feel blessed that I have a close knit family. My mom keeps Will every day at my house. She gets here early every morning (if she does not spend the night) and helps get Caylee ready for school. She keeps Camille's baby, Ava Cate 2 days a week at my house as well. Caylee loves coming home on these days to see Ava. We kids around with each other over who is going to get to hold Ava Cate first. Of sourse, normally I do let Caylee get her first. I snapped a few pictures today of the two of them. I think Ava loves Caylee about as much as Caylee loves her. I am sure she will be extra spoiled by Caylee. I am very thankful that I do have this family that would do anything for each other.
